An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader to supervise the Department's Resource Management Act (RMA) and Statutory Land Management (SLM) teams based in Hamilton.
This role supports the Planning and Land Manager by providing a supervisory and functional leadership role overseeing six staff in the RMA and SLM teams and their work programme for the Department.
To be successful in this role you will have a minimum of eight years experience in a relevant legal, resource management or strategy related discipline and applied experience in working with the relevant legislation. A relevant tertiary qualification is essential. You will have highly developed emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will be a person who is skilled at developing and maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Previous experience in government and success in a senior role is desirable.
