The Department is blessed with the responsibility to oversee and manage with others the natural heritage across New Zealand.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team working across the country with both staff and other organisations and people protecting out natural heritage from the threat of myrtle rust.

We have a vacancy in the myrtle rust team for an experienced planner. The purpose of the role is to develop and support delivery of specific, effective and cost-efficient work plans for science and operational delivery, in response to myrtle rust.

We are looking for an experienced work planner, skilled in the use of information systems, with a good understanding of field operations and sound knowledge of ecosystem principles and processes – which you can explain to others.

The ideal applicant will have knowledge of biosecurity work.   If you love biodiversity, are skilled at managing computer based management and information systems, have experience in analysing data sets, and have an active interest in our natural heritage, then this may well be the role for you!

Please apply online.  Applications must include a cover letter, CV and evidence of the required capabilities as per the role description.
