Are you someone who loves the outdoors, has lots of practical skills and enjoys working with people, threatened species and plant and animal pests?


Applicants are invited for the position of a Ranger, Biodiversity within the Operations unit based at our Alexandra Office.  


The job is focused on delivering our Biodiversity work which involves:

  • plant and animal pest control
  • fencing
  • managing covenants on private land and maintaining a constructive relationship with the property owners
  • Grand and Otago Skink recovery
  • threatened plant and invertebrate conservation
  • monitoring and reporting on the performance of our biodiversity work


The successful applicant will:

  • have proven specialist skills and experience in biodiversity management
  • be able to plan and deliver work in a timely manner
  • be able to produce work of a high standard
