Do you know what makes an effective Learning Management System tick?


We are looking for a switched-on person to join our Capability Development team to support and maintain our Learning Management System.


This role is about ensuring our LMS is working smoothly to help DOC build capability and best serve the needs of our users. You will need to understand LMS functionality, be able to support delivery of a variety of organisational learning needs, and initiate system improvements to provide a better user experience.


You will also work with the vendor and Subject Matter Experts across the business to improvise and enhance functionality, helping DOC measure progress with its capability goals. Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and our partners in conservation is essential.


There will also be opportunity to contribute to the design and development of blended learning solutions, including online courses using best practice training and delivery methodologies.


We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience in LMS technology
  • Highly effective communication with excellent inter-personal skills
  • Knowledge in SQL database
  • Experience with SCORM or TinCan API configuration is highly desirable
  • Able to manage small projects, highly organised and excellent customer focus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to take the initiative to establish priorities, meet deadlines and suggest solutions
  • Experience in instructional design, development of online modules and graphic design skills would be an advantage
  • Flexible and available to interact with employees at all levels, as well as being able to maintain vendor relationship
