He angitūtanga | About the role

We are looking for someone to be the subject matter expert for our HR systems and the powerhouse behind our HR data and analytics capability. 

As well as undertaking core reporting and systems activities, in this role you will be the central investigator, coordinator and communicator for error management, enhancements and upgrades between vendors, internal customers, and our ISS team. Your fresh ideas can inject new life into our People reporting, data analytics and insights work, growing our Power BI and data analytics capability and providing insights and reporting for our people leaders to enable informed decision making.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience

You will be a person who likes to have systems working smoothly, is always looking for improvement and has great attention to detail.  DOC has several system replacements on the horizon both within HR and in related systems that integrate into HR systems. 

You will also have the following skills and capabilities

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience supporting a variety of human resources related software packages
  • Excellent written communication skills and a proven ability to write business documentation which clearly communicates complex ideas in an effective manner
  • Demonstrated aptitude and experience managing and improving systems and processes
  • Highly developed organisation and planning skills with the ability to prioritise work effectively and manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle and good practice processes
  • Proven capability for critical thinking in the analysis of requirements and development of solutions
  • Knowledge of data analytics packages such as Power Query or PowerBI would be an advantage

Most importantly you will have engaging communication style and the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate successfully with others.
