Are you looking for a leading role in protecting native wildlife across the country?

DOC's predator control programme is expanding. We are looking for 2 people to join the Battle for our Birds team. These are senior roles, responsible for coordinating multiple predator control operations across New Zealand.

You will have strong experience in managing large scale pest control operations. You will also have excellent team building skills. This means coaching and supporting others and building strong connections with the wider community to support Predator Free 2050 goals.

The location of both positions is flexible, as frequent travel will be required. The positions can be based in Invercargill, Hokitika, Palmerston North or Taupo. Other locations are possible, subject to negotiation with the relevant DOC Office Manager.

The successful applicant will have

  • Strong experience in the NZ pest control industry.
  • The ability to manage multiple, complex operations simultaneously.
  • The ability to build strong teams.
  • The ability to analyse and improve DOC national systems.

Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory, including a valid work visa covering the whole period of employment if applying internationally.

Please apply online.  Applications must include a cover letter, CV and evidence of the required capabilities as per the role description.
