We are seeking a highly motivated person to join our team, based in Punakaiki.

If you are someone who enjoys the outdoors, is passionate about recreation opportunities and enjoys working in natural environments where you can demonstrate proven practical skills then this role could be right for you!

We have an opportunity for a responsible, physically fit and strong team player to join our highly effective team. You will need to be a proven and effective communicator, someone who can see priorities emerge and have a strong track record at managing a complex and varied workload.  A strong customer focus and ability to be the public face of an organisation at a high-profile tourism site will help. Your skill set will include a demonstrated commitment to Health & Safety Systems, possess a current first aid certificate and be familiar with planning and delivery systems.

You will be able to show current experience working with chainsaws, scrub bars and other small plant. Ideally you will have experience within asset management and can demonstrate skills in maintaining structures, tracks, buildings and waste and water systems. A full driver licence and experience with trailers is necessary.   

This permanent position is based in Punakaiki but may require the successful applicant to work at times across our three locations from Punakaiki in the south to Karamea in the north as required, and may involve working in the back country as determined by the work programme.

Uniform and relevant personal protective equipment are provided.
