Are you keen to support the development of a new way of operating within a unique Treaty settlement environment?  We have an opportunity available for a passionate conservationist with great people skills to work in our operations team.

 

As a Strategic Iwi Project Advisor you will be part of a highly motivated team, focused on working with pre and post-Treaty Settlement partners on delivery and implementation, with a particular focus on the Te Awa Tupua (Whanganui River) settlement.

 

You will be responsible for

  • Relationship Management with pre and post-Treaty Settlement Partners
  • Monitoring and tracking partner relationships
  • Providing advice and support in relation to Treaty obligations
  • Development of new processes and systems to support delivery of treaty settlement obligations in relation to statutory land administration, RMA, permits and concessions as required

 

The ideal applicant will have:

  • Experience working with community, iwi or business groups
  • Knowledge of Te Reo
  • A relevant tertiary qualification,
  • Experience.in project management.
  • Experience in bicultural engagement with Iwi groups
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to establish positive working relationships across a broad range of public and private sector businesses and groups
  • Knowledge of the Treaty Settlement process
  • A full driver licence
