We have a great opportunity available for a hard working, outgoing person to join our District Team in Tauranga.

As a Ranger, Community you will be part of a highly motivated team, focused on dealing with groups and individuals who are working or wish to work on public conservation land throughout the Tauranga / Rotorua District.

You will be responsible for:

• Maintaining partnership opportunities with local iwi, businesses and the community that deliver value to conservation
• Monitoring of all types of concessionaire operations
• Supporting other team members
• Reporting on our business plan Assessment of effects and reporting on
• Processing Resource Management Act applications, DOC concessions

The ideal applicant will have:

• Experience in working with iwi, companies, individuals and community groups
• Knowledgeable about conservation
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong networker, with positive working relationships across a broad range of public and private sector businesses and groups
• The ability to effectively and positively engage with people involved with land use that often conflicts with conservation management. 
• Be able to see the big picture and to have enthusiasm to find workable practical solutions.
