We are looking for two people who have a passion for conservation, love the outdoors, have practical skills, relish doing a different job every day and enjoy working with people? 

 

Do you want to protect the biodiversity values in the Far North – working alongside tangata whenua so that New Zealanders and visitors to the Far North have outstanding, biodiversity experiences? 

 

If yes, then this job is for you.  We are looking for two responsible and reliable team players, who are not afraid of hard work in all weathers and who have the relevant skills.

 

Skills Required:

  • Be physically fit and able to work/walk up and down hills in a back-country environment
  • Take pride in their work and not mind getting their hands dirty
  • Experience in Pest Control (animal and weed) and fence maintenance
  • Proven ability to navigate through bush
  • Have a basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets
  • Hold a Full Drivers Licence
  • Experience/qualifications working with chainsaws, LUV, 4WD and a current Outdoor First Aid Certificate are desirable
  • A Grow Safe/Approved Handlers Certificate, Controlled Substances Licence and Field Operative Monitoring qualifications are desirable
  • Have knowledge and an understanding of Health and Safety in the work place.
  • Have good communication and relationship skills

 

Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory, including a valid work visa covering the whole period of employment if applying internationally.
