He angitūtanga | About the role

This is an exciting role in the Manawatū District based in Palmerston North. It is a full time, permanent role with the ability to work flexibly.

The key responsibilities of the role are to coordinate local involvement in statutory processes (eg, RMA, permissions, statutory land management, etc.) and support the delivery of community-led conservation projects on public conservation land in the Manawatū. You will be providing support for landscape scale conservation initiatives in our communities and managing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

  • experience understanding and applying legislation and policy
  • excellent communication and relationship skills
  • confidence learning and using new systems and processes
  • an eye for detail with an analytical and innovative approach to problem solving
  • excellent planning and organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise a demanding workload
  • experience working with whānau, hapū and iwi is highly desirable.
