We have an exciting full time, permanent opportunity to work in our Maniapoto team as a Ranger, based in our Te Kuiti office. We are looking for a dedicated and collaborative individual to join our team who feels inspired, day in day out and connected to our united purpose: Papatūānuku Thrives.
He angitūtanga: About the Role
As a Biodiversity Ranger you will be working to support the delivery of our work in a close-knit Maniapoto team team. You will be mostly field based either working in a team or on your own. You will need the ability to be adaptable; you may plan your day to be trapping, undertaking weed control, planting, or assisting in a manner of conservation projects including monitoring and protection of Mahoenui Giant Weta and Archey's Frogs.
He kōrero mōu: What we are looking for
With your practical skills, you will be a problem solver who can think on their feet when things do not go to plan. You will be physically fit and enjoy being outdoors working on the whenua, knowing that the outcomes are not instant, but being rewarded with changes to the environment around you over time.
You will be open to working with others including external parties and other internal staff. At times you will help co-ordinate some work delivery with your colleagues and at other times you will support others to deliver work. You will be comfortable working in groups or alone.

The salary range for this position starts from $47,320 up to $59,978 based on demonstrable skills and experience
