We are looking for a Partnerships Development Advisor to join the Auckland based Partnerships team. 

The aim of the position is to work with partners towards shared goals on a landscape scale across the Auckland region. This means navigating a complex landscape both within the Department and with Treaty partners, community stakeholders and agency partners, such as Auckland Council.

 

The person we want can demonstrate they communicate openly, seek to understand the breadth and complexity of the work and work well with others to achieve the best outcomes. You will be highly motivated, up for trying and testing new ideas, and be adept at connecting people, concepts and strategic approaches. You will recognise the importance of DOC's partnership with tangata whenua.  Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills are a must along with good project management skills.   You will have tertiary qualifications, or equivalent experience, in a field related to the natural environment and collaborative approaches to achieve environmental outcomes.

 

This is a dynamic position with a supportive work team.  The ability to work flexible hours at times will be required.

 

Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory, as this is a permanent position, applicants must be New Zealand citizens or residents.
