An exciting position has become available within The Department of Conservation's (DOC's) Commercial Partnerships Team.

This is not an ordinary role. We require people with energy, creativity and vision to break new ground, working to grow conservation in ways that achieve a win-win for business and nature.

The role sits within a small team that broker conservation partnerships with business sectors and business leaders. You will identify and negotiate new business partnerships and nurture existing ones to ensure these are strong, deep and enduring.

In addition, you will build relationships between the Department and the business community to support and drive widespread conservation activity with the commercial sector.

The team you are joining is guided and united behind a future vision in which every business restores our nature.

Success in this position will come from understanding how conservation and business goals can be aligned.  You will be a grounded and credible person who is a confident and effective communicator, with strong business acumen. You will be able to influence at a senior level and have empathy and commitment in working with Tangata Whenua as the Department's Treaty Partner.

Above all, you will be passionate about conservation growth in New Zealand.
