If the land is well and the sea is well, the people will thrive
Department of Conservation Te Papa Atawhai (DOC) serves to protect and sustain nature across Aotearoa. We put nature and people at the heart of our mahi, guided by te reo Māori, te ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi. We do this by:
- protecting land, species, ecosystems, and cultural heritage for conservation purposes,
- managing threats and adverse impacts,
- being a voice for conservation,
- connecting people to nature.
Due to the evolving and complex nature of procurement, we have recently transitioned to a centralised, category led operating model to provide more strategic and best practise service to the business. This new model will enable DOC to deliver on its key strategic focus areas such as strengthening our Treaty partnerships and providing strong support for our frontline staff. We are open to considering candidates in Wellington, Christchurch or Auckland locations.
This is an exciting time to consider joining an organisation such as DOC. You'll work collaboratively with the wider procurement function to educate and embed this new way of working to the business.
