He angitūtanga | About the role

The Integrated Planning and Reporting Team supports Te Papa Atawhai Department of Conservation (DOC) with non-financial planning and reporting guidance and analysis, including DOC's carbon emissions. As an Emissions Data Analyst for DOC, you have a very real opportunity to contribute to this work, which results in DOC staff making better management decisions, thus contributing to our Purpose – Papatūānuku Thrives. 

You will join a small, distributed team responsible for DOC's planning, analysis and reporting. You will be responsible for supporting DOC's obligations to measure, report and verify its carbon emissions under the Carbon Neutral Government Programme. You will use a variety of internal systems and manual processes to collate, report and analyse our emissions data.

We are looking for someone to complement our friendly team. The team enjoys working collaboratively together, are open to new ideas, share the workload, and like having a laugh. It is preferable that you have an interest in climate change and reducing carbon emissions.

Key skills and experience required:

• Attention to detail
• Analytical skills with the ability to identify gaps and trends
• Good experience and knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SQL query tools
• Good written communication and process documentation skills
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI useful but not essential

The salary range for this position is $73,336 to $93,708 with the starting salary of the successful applicant being based on their relevant skills and experience.
