He angitūtanga | About the role

This is a fixed-term role for 12 months, based in our Tauranga office, and works as part of our Business Support Team assisting our Operations functions.  Supporting different teams, this role requires someone who is agile, can quickly adapt and prioritise with several tasks on the go, at any one time.

The position will be focussed on:

  • Managing the Tauranga office facilities
  • Providing exceptional customer service internally and externally
  • Managing the office visitors and emails
  • Managing our regional fleet of vehicles, making sure vehicles are available and safe for use
  • Coordinating Property work orders for repairs and maintenance
  • General administration for the office and operations team

  • A strong business support and administration background with demonstrated experience in administrative processes and services
  • A drive to deliver an exceptional customer experience in every interaction.
  • A team player who uses their initiative to work unsupervised.
  • A thorough knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • The ability to turn your hand to a multitude of tasks and easily pick up or learn new systems or processes.


  • An understanding of the work of the Department and how it contributes to New Zealand's future sustainability
