The Department is continuing to improve its portfolio, project and programme (P3) management to support leaders within the organisation to identify, prioritise and deliver work. We are looking for an energetic skilled person who is passionate about leading P3 improvement.


You need to have experience in portfolio, project and programme management and familiarity with New Zealand Central Government agencies processes such as the Investment Confidence Rating will be an advantage.


The ideal applicant will be passionate about "The New Zealand Experience" and how effective systems can support our conservation goals. You will also enjoy working in, mentoring and supporting a close-knit fun crew; being an effective member of the Business Assurance Unit and the wider Corporate Group in transforming how the Department undertakes its work. You will have excellent engagement and communication skills. You will be a lateral thinker who works in an agile way at both an operational and strategic sense and will drive a high quality and "fit for purpose" approach.


You will not be a stranger to Board room settings and giving presentations on good and not so good news.
