The Department of Conservation is changing how it provide ICT services. It has migrated its data centre to Amazon Web Services (public cloud) and adopted multiple Software as a Service solutions. We are looking for an experienced advisor to come work with our management team to ensure we get best value and quality from our digital services contracts in a multi-vendor environment.


You will be integral to implementing a vendor management framework. We are looking for someone who doesn't want to tick off goods received but instead foster a relationship that develops into a partnership with our suppliers. You will have experience of managing ICT contracts, service level agreements and relationship management. Knowledge and experience of information systems across several platforms and technologies and of how enterprise systems support business processes would be beneficial.


The ideal applicant will be passionate about contributing to conservation in New Zealand and will understand how effective ICT service management can support our organisational goals. You will enjoy working in and supporting a team; and be agile and adaptable to flexible working practices. This is a critical role that requires very effective engagement and communication skills.
