As one of DOC's Solution Architects you will have a unique opportunity to shape the Department's enterprise architecture and dependant systems as we move to Cloud based services. The results of your work will have a direct impact on how our staff and partners access our systems in support of conservation. The Solution Architects are a member of the Strategy and Architecture Services Team, operating within the Information Systems and Services Group. You will be a key member of the architecture practice.

                        You must have multi-year, hands-on experience in architecture in a cloud environment operating as a solution architect. We expect you to be here for the long haul and grow in this role, both in terms of your domain skills, and most critically in growing your knowledge of the needs of a world leading conservation organisation. What we do is unusual, and you will need to be very willing to dig deep into our business. We will invest in you and give you opportunities to work across the Natural Resources Sector and beyond. We will occasionally give you the opportunity to get out into the backcountry to help you stay connected to DOC's mission.

From a technical perspective you will need to be flexible and bring a variety of technical competencies. DOC operatesmulti-platform environment across Cloud and traditional infrastructure. Our vision is to maximise the value we get from our systems to maximise the benefit we get from every conservation dollar. As we move into the Cloud we need to evolve our working practices and help DOC achieve best value from taking up modern flexible tools in the delivery of conservation outcomes.
