The Information Systems and Services (ISS) team is looking for you, a Senior Business Analyst (SAP), who can help us further conservation through innovative technology.

 

You'll bring an enquiring mind, great communication skills and analysis experience to work with new and existing systems, improving business processes. You'll need to be comfortable facilitating with a diverse range of people from field rangers to scientists, treaty negotiators to policy analysts to commercial marketers.

 

Of course, we expect you to be a great documenter, scaling from the strategic to the detailed view. You'll love understanding how process design can drive efficiencies and effectiveness, knowing that you play your part in delivering better conservation outcomes for all New Zealanders.

You will be part of a small, yet motivated Project team and you as the ideal candidate will:

  • Excellent documentation and writing skills
  • Excellent engagement with business and technical teams.
  • Strong on ICT and specifically integration, and appropriate SAP exposure in PM, FICO and BI
  • Be flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
  • Have strong business acumen and understanding of organisational issues and challenges.
  • Work with business groups to understand and document requirements for initiatives identified and prioritised by ISS Governance groups.
  • Highlight areas of improvement and identify new opportunities and facilitate change and configuration management
  • Support the SAP Business Representative Group to help size and determine feasibility of initiatives
  • Validate the functionality of the end product according to the requirement specifications
  • Prepare technical user manuals, system configuration documents and other technical reports
  • Qualifications and experience
  • Very strong on elicitation with what the business needs while also managing stakeholder expectations of what is possible based on their technology awareness.
  • Have experience of current business systems modeling tools and knowledge of the software development life cycle and good practice processes.
    • A minimum of 5 years as a business analyst
